Course Overview

The BSc (Hons) Health and Social Care degree at UOCL provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to work in one of the largest sectors in the UK. The course covers key areas in healthcare and social care, including care management, mental health, health promotion, and safeguarding. Students will also explore health and social care issues from local, national, and global perspectives.

Standard Entry Requirements

96 UCAS tariff points from 3 A Levels or equivalent, e.g. BCC.

Alternatively, applicants can have:

  • Irish Leaving Certificate: BBCCC
  • Scottish Highers: BBCCC
  • BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma: DMM in a related subject
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma: 24 points

All applicants must have at least 3 GCSEs at grade C (or grade 4), including English and Maths.

Foundation Year Entry Requirements

40 UCAS points for Foundation Year entry.

English language proficiency: IELTS 6.0 (Academic) or equivalent.

2024/25: £9,250 | 2025/26: £9,535
