Course Overview

The BSc (Hons) Public Health degree at UOCL aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills to improve and protect public health, while addressing health inequalities. The course covers a wide range of public health disciplines, such as health promotion, epidemiology, and global health issues, alongside local, national, and global public health concerns.

Standard Entry Requirements

96 UCAS tariff points from 3 A Levels or equivalent, e.g. CCC.

Alternatively, applicants can have:

  • Irish Leaving Certificate: BBCCC
  • Scottish Highers: BBCCC
  • BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma: DMM in a relevant subject
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma: 24 points

All applicants must have at least 3 GCSEs at grade C (or grade 4), including English and Maths.

Foundation Year Entry Requirements

40 UCAS points for Foundation Year entry.

English language proficiency: IELTS 6.0 (Academic) or equivalent.

2024/25: £9,250 | 2025/26: £9,535

For 2024-2025 entry, the maximum government-approved undergraduate tuition fee for UK students is £9,250 per year. The University is able to charge this fee subject to an approved Access and Participation Plan for 2024-2025 and its current rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework.
